What this trial studies

This observational prospective study aims to describe the epidemiology, management, and outcomes of patients with sinonasal and skull-base pathologies at a tertiary otorhinolaryngology referral center. It seeks to understand the caseload of these conditions, the results of their management, the epidemiological characteristics of the patients, and their quality of life. By analyzing these factors, the study hopes to improve the management of sinonasal and skull-base diseases and provide valuable insights for comparison with other centers.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study include patients diagnosed with sinonasal and/or skull-base cancer or sinonasal diseases that extend into the skull base.

Not a fit: Patients with lateral skull-base disease primarily originating in the temporal bone and without central skull-base involvement may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the understanding and management of sinonasal and skull-base tumors, potentially leading to improved patient outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: While sinonasal and skull-base tumors are rare, similar studies have provided valuable insights into their management, suggesting that this approach could yield beneficial results.
