What this trial studies
This study aims to establish and maintain a cohort of patients diagnosed with advanced non-small cell lung cancer to evaluate treatment patterns and various factors that influence prognosis and survival. It will assess both genetic and clinical factors, as well as their interactions, to better understand disease diagnosis and treatment outcomes. The study will utilize both prospective and retrospective data collection methods to gather comprehensive information on patient experiences and outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults over 18 years old with a diagnosis of advanced non-small cell lung cancer, particularly those with specific genetic mutations or those undergoing immunotherapy.
Not a fit: Patients with early-stage lung cancer or those without a confirmed diagnosis of advanced non-small cell lung cancer may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights that improve treatment strategies and outcomes for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.
How similar studies have performed: Other observational studies in similar patient populations have shown success in identifying key prognostic factors, suggesting that this approach is both relevant and potentially impactful.
