What this trial studies
This program aims to evaluate the feasibility and participant satisfaction of providing enhanced nutrition support and dietician access for individuals diagnosed with pancreatic cancer who have undergone surgery. Participants will receive nutrition counseling and utilize Fitbit technology to monitor their dietary habits and health metrics. The study focuses on improving the nutritional status and overall well-being of patients during their recovery process. Feedback from participants will be collected through surveys to assess the program's effectiveness.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and have completed open pancreatic surgery.
Not a fit: Patients who are not eligible for surgery due to cancer metastasis will not benefit from this program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the nutritional health and recovery outcomes for patients with pancreatic cancer.
How similar studies have performed: While this specific approach is novel, similar studies focusing on nutrition support in cancer care have shown promising results.
