What this trial studies
This observational study, SUNFRAIL+, aims to assess frailty in community-dwelling individuals aged 65 and older using an IT platform. Participants will complete the SUNFRAIL questionnaire, which will trigger alerts based on their responses, leading to further in-depth assessments of their bio-psycho-social health. The study will involve seven centers, each enrolling 100 older adults to gather comprehensive data on frailty. The goal is to enhance the understanding and management of frailty in older adults through a multidimensional approach.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are community-dwelling individuals aged 65 years and older who can provide informed consent.
Not a fit: Patients under 65 years, those living in care facilities, or those with overt frailty or disability may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved screening and management of frailty in older adults, enhancing their quality of life.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success with similar multidimensional approaches to frailty assessment, indicating potential for positive outcomes.
