Multicenter database for pancreatic solid pseudopapillary neoplasm

The Construction and Maintenance of A Real World Study Multicentric Database for Solid Pseudopapillary Neoplasm of the Pancreas

Fudan University · NCT07183280

What this trial studies

This observational multicenter effort will systematically collect real-world clinical, pathological, imaging, surgical, and follow-up data from patients with pathologically or cytologically confirmed pancreatic solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN). Patients of any age and gender who meet diagnostic criteria and agree to follow-up are eligible, with Shanghai Cancer Center serving as the lead site for data contribution. The database will aggregate information on demographics, tumor characteristics, treatments (including surgery), and outcomes to generate real-world evidence for clinical and translational research. Analyses will examine natural history, prognostic features, patterns of care, and factors linked to recurrence or metastasis to inform management and future studies.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are people of any age with pathology- or cytology-confirmed pancreatic SPN who can provide clinical records and comply with scheduled follow-up at the participating center.

Not a fit: Patients without a confirmed pancreatic SPN, those with non-pancreatic primary tumors, or those unable to provide follow-up information are unlikely to benefit from participation.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the database could improve understanding of long-term outcomes and help clinicians identify high-risk patients and better tailor surgical and follow-up strategies.

How similar studies have performed: Several retrospective multicenter case series in Asia have reported clinical features and outcomes of SPN, but comprehensive prospective real-world databases for this tumor type remain limited.
