Motor program to improve neurological development in children
Effects of the Application of a Motor Programme Throughout an Academic Year on the Neurological Maduration of a Sample of 2nd Grade Children of Primary Schools in Catalonia
This study tests whether a special movement program can help second-grade children in Catalonia develop better motor skills and overall growth by reducing primitive reflexes that might be causing learning difficulties.

What this trial studies
This study evaluates the impact of a motor program on the neurological maturation of second-grade children in Catalonia over an academic year. It involves a randomized controlled design with two groups: one receiving the INPP Movement Program and a non-intervention group. The program aims to address the persistence of primitive reflexes, which are linked to various neurodevelopmental disorders and learning difficulties. Data will be collected to assess improvements in motor function and overall child development.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are second-grade children aged 7 to 9 years enrolled in selected schools.
Not a fit: Children with physical or cognitive limitations that prevent them from participating in the exercises may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could enhance motor skills and reduce learning difficulties in children.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have suggested that similar motor intervention programs can positively influence neuromotor development, indicating potential for success.
Eligibility criteria
