What this trial studies

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Motivational Interviewing at Intake (MII) compared to standard intake procedures in enhancing client engagement among adults seeking outpatient addiction treatment. It employs a hybrid effectiveness-implementation design to assess both the impact on client engagement and the feasibility of integrating MII into standard practice. Personnel feedback will also be collected to understand the implementation climate before and after the training in Motivational Interviewing. The study aims to provide insights into improving treatment adherence for substance-related disorders.
