What this trial studies
This observational study focuses on older adults aged 60 and above living in rural areas of Castilla y León, Spain. It aims to monitor their physical fitness and frailty using various health devices to assess their well-being and identify potential health risks. The study addresses the challenges posed by geographical dispersion and limited access to healthcare services in these regions. By utilizing technology, the study seeks to enhance the quality of life for older adults and promote preventive measures against age-related conditions.

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 60 years or older residing in rural municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants.
Not a fit: Patients with cognitive impairments or those who have been hospitalized for a week or more in the month prior to the study may not benefit.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved health monitoring and preventive care for older adults in rural areas.
How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific focus on rural older adults using advanced monitoring devices is relatively novel.
