What this trial studies

This study evaluates the impact of a mobile health intervention on birth outcomes and infant health among pregnant women. It employs a sequential exploratory research design, starting with qualitative focus group discussions to identify barriers and preferences in perinatal care. Following this, an educational video tailored to the needs of the participants will be developed and assessed for satisfaction and acceptability. Finally, a randomized controlled trial will be conducted to measure the effectiveness of the intervention on health outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are pregnant women aged 18 and above, between 14 to 22 weeks of gestation, who can read and understand Nepali and plan to stay in Dhulikhel during the study.

Not a fit: Patients with vision impairment or diagnosed learning difficulties may not benefit from this study.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

* Pregnant women of age 18 years and above;
* Pregnant with 14 to 22 weeks of gestation;
* Planned to deliver a child and come for infant's vaccination at Dhulikhel hospital;
* Pregnant women who use smart phone;
* Pregnant women who have plan to stay in Dhulikhel thorough out this study period;
* Can read and understand Nepali language

Exclusion Criteria:

* Vision impairment and diagnosed learning difficulties
