What this trial studies
This project aims to develop and evaluate a mobile application called AkilMobil, designed to assist parents in managing their children's medication after hospital discharge. The application addresses the common issue of irrational drug use by providing continuous education and support to parents, ensuring they can accurately prepare and administer medications. The study employs a randomized controlled experimental design to assess the effectiveness of the application in improving medication management. By leveraging technology, the application seeks to enhance the knowledge and skills of parents, ultimately leading to better health outcomes for children with chronic conditions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are parents of children who have been discharged from the hospital and are continuing medication at home.
Not a fit: Patients whose children are no longer using medication or whose treatment has ended may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this application could significantly improve medication adherence and safety for children discharged from the hospital.
How similar studies have performed: While mobile health applications have shown promise in various healthcare settings, this specific approach targeting medication management for pediatric patients is relatively novel.
