What this trial studies

This study evaluates the efficacy of the Mobile Epilepsy Education Package (MEEP), an application designed to educate parents and caregivers of children diagnosed with epilepsy. The trial involves a two-group, single-center, randomized controlled intervention where participants will use either the MEEP or receive standard care. The primary objective is to assess whether the MEEP increases knowledge about epilepsy, while secondary objectives include reducing anxiety and improving treatment adherence through app features. The study will be conducted at the Montreal Children's Hospital and the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre.
