What this trial studies
This observational study aims to capture the full spectrum of symptoms, treatment patterns, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) using the Folia Health platform. Participants will enroll through a mobile app, complete an initial 6-month data collection period involving surveys and monthly check-ins, and can continue tracking their health outcomes for personal use afterward. The data collected may also be integrated with Novartis's APPRISE data platform for further analysis over two years.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 or older diagnosed with IgAN, as well as their caregivers.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have a diagnosis of IgAN or are unable to use the mobile app may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into the disease burden and treatment patterns of IgAN, potentially leading to improved patient care and management strategies.
How similar studies have performed: While similar observational studies have been conducted, this specific approach utilizing a mobile app for real-time data collection is relatively novel.
