What this trial studies

This study evaluates the effectiveness of a mobile-based self-help cognitive behavioral therapy for eating disorders in adolescents and young adults. Participants will use the app to manage their symptoms, and their progress will be compared to a waitlist control group. The goal is to determine if this digital intervention can significantly reduce eating disorder symptoms over time. The study focuses on individuals who have experienced binge eating episodes recently.

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adolescents and young adults aged 13-22 who have experienced binge eating episodes and own a smartphone.

Not a fit: Patients diagnosed with anorexia nervosa or those with a BMI of 17.5 or lower may not benefit from this study.
