What this trial studies

This study investigates the effects of mindfulness-based psychoeducation on mindfulness levels, cognitive defusion, and depression in patients diagnosed with major depressive disorder. A total of 60 outpatients will be randomly assigned to either an experimental group receiving weekly mindfulness sessions for 8 weeks or a control group receiving routine treatment only. The study aims to determine if the intervention can enhance mindfulness and reduce depressive symptoms. Participants will be selected based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure a suitable sample for the intervention.
