What this trial studies

This study investigates the efficacy and safety of microtransplantation in patients with recurrent and advanced ovarian cancer. Eligible participants are assigned to either the experimental group, receiving peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cells from HLA mismatched donors after conventional chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, or the control group, which receives only conventional treatments. The treatment plan is individualized based on the patient's medical history and tumor assessment, with evaluations conducted after each treatment cycle to determine efficacy and safety. Patients who do not show improvement after two cycles of chemotherapy will be withdrawn from the study.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are women aged 18-80 with advanced or relapsed ovarian cancer who have suitable hematopoietic stem cell donors.

Not a fit: Patients without suitable donors or those who refuse donor cells may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide a new treatment option that enhances the effectiveness of existing therapies for ovarian cancer.

How similar studies have performed: While the approach of microtransplantation is relatively novel in this context, similar studies in other cancers have shown promising results.
