What this trial studies
This observational study aims to construct and validate the Scale of Therapeutic Adherence for Respiratory Rehabilitation in patients diagnosed with lung cancer in Mexico. Participants will complete a 56-item questionnaire designed to assess their adherence to respiratory rehabilitation protocols. The study focuses on determining the reliability and validity of this scale among patients currently undergoing assessment or follow-up in a respiratory rehabilitation program. By evaluating therapeutic adherence, the study seeks to improve rehabilitation outcomes for lung cancer patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults over 18 years old diagnosed with lung cancer who are currently undergoing respiratory rehabilitation treatment.
Not a fit: Patients with severe psychiatric conditions, significant hearing or visual impairments, or cognitive issues that hinder their understanding of the study will not benefit.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the effectiveness of respiratory rehabilitation programs for lung cancer patients by providing a reliable tool to measure adherence.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach of measuring therapeutic adherence is common, the specific scale being validated in this study is novel and has not been previously tested.
