Management scheme for patients with multiple myeloma and renal injury
A Clinical Study on the Whole-course Management (BCD-KPD-AutoHSCT) Scheme for Patients With Multiple Myeloma and Kidney Injury
This study tests a new treatment plan for people with multiple myeloma and kidney problems to see if early chemotherapy and stem cell transplants can help improve their kidney function and overall health.

What this trial studies
This clinical study investigates a comprehensive management approach for patients suffering from multiple myeloma with renal impairment. It focuses on the effects of early intensive chemotherapy and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AutoHSCT) on reversing renal function in these patients. The study aims to evaluate the treatment outcomes based on different renal pathological types associated with multiple myeloma. By utilizing established drug regimens, the research seeks to improve survival rates and quality of life for affected individuals.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 and older with a confirmed diagnosis of symptomatic multiple myeloma and renal impairment.
Not a fit: Patients with chronic kidney disease unrelated to myeloma or other severe co-existing medical conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly improve renal function and survival rates in patients with multiple myeloma and renal injury.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with similar approaches in treating multiple myeloma, particularly regarding the management of renal complications.
