What this trial studies
This observational study, known as CLYMAX-2, focuses on young men who have sex with men (YMSM) who engage in chemsex. It aims to assess the patterns of chemsex use, the factors influencing initiation and discontinuation, and the effects on physical and mental health. The study will also evaluate the acceptability and feasibility of developing a comprehensive chemsex clinic, as well as the effectiveness of harm reduction strategies through a prospective cohort design. Data will be collected using both qualitative and quantitative methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of the chemsex landscape among this population.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are men aged 16-35 who have sex with men and are current chemsex users.
Not a fit: Patients who do not engage in chemsex or are outside the age range may not receive any benefit from this study.
Why it matters
