What this trial studies

This study investigates the impact of laughter therapy on food cravings among young women experiencing premenstrual syndrome (PMS). It involves nursing students at Sinop University who have a PMS score of 43 or higher. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group receiving online laughter therapy sessions or a control group. The effectiveness of the therapy will be assessed through pre- and post-intervention evaluations using the Premenstrual Syndrome Scale and the Food Craving Scale.

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are female nursing students with a PMS score of 43 or higher.

Not a fit: Patients who are male or do not meet the PMS score criteria will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could help women with PMS manage their food cravings and improve their overall well-being.
