What this trial studies

This study aims to evaluate the effects of Kinesio taping when used alongside traditional physical therapy in patients suffering from plantar fasciitis. Participants aged 20-40 years will be randomly assigned to receive either conventional physical therapy alone or physical therapy plus Kinesio taping. Pain levels will be measured using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale, while range of motion and gait parameters will be assessed through goniometry and a 30-meter walk test, respectively. The study is single-blinded, and informed consent will be obtained from all participants before enrollment.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 20-40 years diagnosed with plantar fasciitis.

Not a fit: Patients with recent steroid injections, a history of foot or ankle surgery, or other specified conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could enhance pain relief and improve mobility for patients with plantar fasciitis.

How similar studies have performed: While the use of Kinesio taping has been explored in various contexts, this specific combination with traditional physical therapy for plantar fasciitis is relatively novel.
