What this trial studies

This observational study aims to investigate the prevalence, morphological characteristics, risk factors, complications, and long-term prognosis of coronary artery aneurysm and ectasia (CAAE) in the Polish population. Utilizing the CARED-POL Registry, the study will analyze data from 2,000 patients diagnosed with CAA or CAE through coronary angiography. The research will focus on identifying morphological risk factors for adverse outcomes and comparing treatment methods to tailor individual patient care, including anticoagulant therapy. Data collection will be conducted through standardized forms and will involve both retrospective and prospective patient enrollment.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients diagnosed with coronary artery aneurysm or ectasia.

Not a fit: Patients without informed consent or those not diagnosed with CAA or CAE will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of coronary artery aneurysm and ectasia, enhancing patient outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited data on Polish patients, similar studies in other populations have shown success in understanding coronary artery conditions.
