What this trial studies
This study aims to explore how transcranial oscillatory direct current stimulation (toDCS) affects the functions of the cerebral cortex in healthy subjects. Participants will receive different stimulation protocols, including varying currents and frequencies, to assess changes in cortical excitability and EEG frequency. The study focuses on a specific demographic of healthy right-handed males aged 20 to 30, ensuring a controlled environment for the investigation. The findings could provide insights into the potential applications of brain stimulation techniques.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy right-handed males aged 20 to 30 with no history of neurological or psychiatric diseases.
Not a fit: Patients with severe illnesses, neurological conditions, or those with metal implants will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance our understanding of brain stimulation effects, potentially leading to new therapeutic approaches for neurological conditions.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on transcranial direct current stimulation, this specific approach focusing on oscillatory stimulation in healthy subjects is relatively novel.
