Investigating physicians' awareness of ECG patterns in chest pain patients
Physicians' Awareness of ECG Abnormalities Linked to Acute Ischemic Chest Pain; A Survey Study
This study looks at how well doctors can recognize important ECG patterns in patients with chest pain to see if they know when to act quickly and avoid unnecessary treatments.

What this trial studies
This observational study examines how well physicians recognize electrocardiogram (ECG) abnormalities associated with acute ischemic chest pain. It utilizes a Google Form-based questionnaire to gather data on physicians' awareness of various ECG patterns that necessitate immediate catheter lab activation for reperfusion therapy, as well as those that may lead to unnecessary activations. The study aims to highlight gaps in knowledge that could impact patient outcomes in emergency settings.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are physicians aged 25 to 65 who treat patients presenting with potential acute chest pain.
Not a fit: Patients who do not interact with physicians or are not involved in the treatment of acute chest pain will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance physicians' awareness and improve the timely treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be studies addressing physician awareness in general, this specific focus on ECG patterns in acute ischemic chest pain is relatively novel.
