What this trial studies

This observational study aims to analyze the long-term kidney transplant function outcomes based on the type of donor, either living or deceased. It involves the systematic collection of clinical data from kidney transplant recipients treated at a single center, starting from January 1, 2017, and continuing for nine years. Participants will be treated according to standard clinical practices without any additional study-specific interventions. The study will gather information during the patients' routine care to assess the impact of donor type on transplant success.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older who have received a kidney transplant from any donor.

Not a fit: Patients who have not undergone kidney transplantation or are under 18 years old may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into optimizing kidney transplant outcomes based on donor type.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have explored donor type impacts on transplant outcomes, suggesting that this approach has been previously validated.
