What this trial studies

This observational study aims to explore the relationship between trunk control and hand functions in individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. It will assess how trunk stability, which is crucial for postural control, influences fine motor skills and hand movements. Participants will be evaluated using a Jamar Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer to measure hand function, alongside sociodemographic data collection. The study seeks to fill a gap in existing literature regarding the impact of trunk control on hand functions in this patient population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 40 to 70 diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and exhibiting mild symptoms.

Not a fit: Patients with advanced cognitive issues, additional neurological disorders, or severe vision and hearing problems may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance rehabilitation strategies for improving hand functions in Parkinson's patients.

How similar studies have performed: There is limited existing research on this specific relationship, making this study a novel exploration in the field.
