What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to explore the immediate effects of two different durations of exercise (10 minutes and 30 minutes) on appetite and appetite-regulating hormones in healthy men. Participants will undergo a screening visit to assess eligibility and will complete treadmill tests to determine their maximum oxygen uptake. The study will compare three groups: a control group with no exercise, a short exercise group, and a prolonged exercise group, all following a standardized meal protocol. The researchers will measure changes in appetite and energy intake after exercise to understand the relationship between physical activity and appetite regulation.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy males aged 18 years or older with stable body mass.
Not a fit: Patients who are female, younger than 18 or older than 65, or have metabolic health issues will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into how exercise influences appetite control, potentially aiding in weight management strategies.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown varying effects of exercise on appetite regulation, but this specific approach is relatively novel.
