What this trial studies

This intervention program aims to address risky sexual behaviors among college students by utilizing the Behavior Change Wheel (BCW) theory. The program combines literature analysis, qualitative research, and expert feedback to develop effective strategies. A pre-experiment involving 40 students will measure psychosexual health, social support, and sexual self-efficacy before and after a 12-week intervention to evaluate its effectiveness in reducing risky behaviors. The goal is to enhance students' understanding of risk and improve their sexual health outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this program are full-time undergraduate college students aged 16 and older who have engaged in risky sexual behaviors.

Not a fit: Patients who may not benefit include those diagnosed with mental illnesses or those unwilling to discuss sexual health topics.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly reduce the incidence of risky sexual behaviors among college students and improve their overall sexual health.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing behavior change theories have shown promise in reducing risky sexual behaviors, indicating potential success for this approach.
