What this trial studies

This intervention aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Westmead Feelings Program 2, specifically adapted for Hong Kong, in enhancing social-emotional skills and mental well-being among children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program consists of 15 training sessions for children, along with three workshops for parents and teachers to support the learning process. A booster session will be provided five months after the initial training to reinforce the skills learned. The study will compare outcomes between children receiving the intervention and those on a waitlist to assess its effectiveness.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder who do not have intellectual delays and have not previously participated in group training for emotional regulation.

Not a fit: Patients who do not have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or those with intellectual delays may not benefit from this study.

Inclusion Criteria:

* Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
* Without a diagnosis of Intellectual Delay
* Have not received any group training in emotional regulation previously

Exclusion Criteria:

* Without ASD diagnosis
* Age falls outside the age limits
* With Intellectual Delays
