What this trial studies
This study tests an internet-delivered, therapist-assisted cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program specifically designed for adults suffering from chronic cancer-related pain. The intervention is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on enhancing psychological flexibility to manage pain. The trial aims to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of this tailored approach, addressing the gap in access to traditional pain management therapies for cancer patients. Participants will engage with the program through a smartphone application, allowing for daily diary recordings and support.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older with a current or previous cancer diagnosis experiencing recurring cancer-related pain, who are fluent in Swedish and have access to the necessary technology.
Not a fit: Patients who are currently receiving other psychological treatments may not benefit from this study.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion Criteria: * Current or previous former cancer diagnosis; * Recurring cancer-related pain; * Aged 18 years or older; * Living in Sweden; * Fluent in Swedish; * Possession of a smartphone where they can download the application necessary for the daily diary recordings; * Access to a device with internet access to receive the intervention; * Not receiving another psychological treatment. Exclusion Criteria: \- Not meeting any of the above inclusion criteria.
