What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of a guided internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) program on adults experiencing mental health problems linked to the climate crisis. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the ICBT intervention or a wait-list control group. The study will measure various outcomes including quality of life, depressive symptoms, anxiety, sleep problems, and traumatic stress. The treatment approach is tailored for individuals affected by the societal and personal consequences of climate change, building on previous successful trials.

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who are experiencing mental health issues exacerbated by the climate crisis and can communicate in Swedish.
Not a fit: Patients currently undergoing other psychological treatments or those with severe psychiatric conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
