What this trial studies

This trial investigates the effects of an Internet-delivered physical activity intervention on cognitive processing speed in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). It is a randomized controlled trial comparing the intervention to an active control condition, focusing on improving cognitive function, learning, memory, and quality of life. Participants will engage in a structured program designed to increase their physical activity levels while being monitored remotely. The study aims to provide robust evidence on the efficacy of this behavioral approach for managing cognitive impairments associated with MS.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis who are currently physically inactive and able to ambulate without assistance.

Not a fit: Patients with moderate to high risk for injury during physical activity or those not meeting the inclusion criteria may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve cognitive processing speed and overall quality of life for patients with multiple sclerosis.

How similar studies have performed: Previous pilot studies have shown promising results for similar Internet-delivered physical activity interventions in improving cognitive function in MS patients.
