What this trial studies
This interventional comparison tests an interactive online e-book against standard Ministry of Health and Welfare PDF training for home care nurses. Participants will either use the interactive e-book for one month or review the standard PDF materials, and will complete surveys measuring knowledge, perceived barriers, and self-efficacy before the program, immediately after, and one month later. The focus is on pressure injury prevention and treatment in the home-care setting and on how long any learning benefits persist. The study will determine whether interactive digital learning produces greater gains or longer retention than static materials.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Registered nurses aged 18 or older who work full-time as home care nurses with at least six months' home care experience and who agree to participate.
Not a fit: Nurses with advanced wound-care certifications, those working in nursing homes or residential care facilities, or nurses without reliable online access may not receive additional benefit from this program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the e-book could increase nurses' wound-care knowledge and confidence, potentially improving pressure injury prevention and treatment for patients at home.
How similar studies have performed: Previous e-learning interventions for nursing education have generally improved knowledge and confidence, so this approach builds on existing evidence.
