What this trial studies
This observational study aims to analyze demographic and sociological characteristics of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, identify risk factors, and implement standardized health management strategies. It involves collecting clinical data, preoperative hematological parameters, and imaging features from patients diagnosed with epithelial ovarian cancer and benign gynecological diseases. The study will utilize machine learning models to establish diagnosis and prognosis prediction models, which will be validated using external cohorts. The overall and progression-free survival rates will be analyzed to predict outcomes for different patient subgroups.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients aged 18 to 80 diagnosed with primary epithelial ovarian cancer or benign gynecological diseases who have undergone preoperative PET/CT examination.
Not a fit: Patients with acute or chronic genital tract infections, other diagnosed tumors, severe systemic diseases, or those who are pregnant or lactating may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved risk stratification and personalized management strategies for patients with epithelial ovarian cancer.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in using machine learning for cancer prognosis, indicating that this approach has potential but may also include novel elements.
