Individualized exercise and manual therapy for severe hemophilia patients with joint issues
Effects of Individualized Exercise Intervention Combined With Manual Therapy on Musculoskeletal System, Cardiopulmonary Endurance and Quality of Life in Severe Hemophilia Patients With Polyarthropathy
This study is testing a personalized physical therapy program that combines exercise and hands-on treatment to see if it can help people with severe hemophilia and joint problems feel better and improve their quality of life.

What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of a tailored physical therapy program that combines manual therapy and exercise for patients suffering from severe hemophilia A and multiple hemophilic arthropathy. The intervention aims to improve various health outcomes, including pain perception, range of motion, muscle strength, joint health, cardiopulmonary endurance, and overall quality of life. By focusing on individualized treatment, the study seeks to address the unique challenges faced by these patients due to recurrent joint bleeding and degeneration. The effectiveness and safety of this combined approach have not been extensively evaluated in previous research.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 20 years old diagnosed with severe hemophilia who receive regular prophylaxis and have multiple affected joints.
Not a fit: Patients with neurological diseases, recent fractures, or those unable to walk due to hemophilia joint disease may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly enhance the quality of life and physical function for patients with severe hemophilia.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive outcomes with manual therapy and exercise for hemophilia patients, but this specific combined approach is less explored.
