What this trial studies
This observational study investigates the perceptions of dental staff and management regarding their work environment and the systematic management of health-promoting practices in dental care. It aims to identify the support needed for effective work environment management and the individual adaptations that can enhance workplace health. The study includes a quantitative cross-sectional analysis of employees' self-rated health and a qualitative interview study to gather in-depth insights into their experiences. By focusing on dentists, dental hygienists, and dental nurses, the research seeks to fill the knowledge gap in occupational health specific to the dental field.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are dental professionals, including dentists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, clinic coordinators, and operations managers, currently employed in dental care.
Not a fit: Patients who are not involved in the dental care profession or those who do not understand the Swedish language may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved health and well-being for dental staff, enhancing their work environment and job satisfaction.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited research specifically targeting dental care, similar studies in other occupational health settings have shown success in improving workplace environments and employee health.
