What this trial studies
This project focuses on enhancing the resilience of military personnel in Security Force Assistance Brigades (SFABs) through an evidence-based intervention known as Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT). The study will compare the effectiveness of this training program against standard training practices to determine its impact on psychological flexibility and overall performance. By addressing the unique challenges faced by military personnel in high-stress environments, the research aims to optimize operational readiness and prevent psychological health issues. The study is designed to be methodologically sound, addressing past challenges in validating resiliency-enhancement programs.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adult soldiers aged 18 or older assigned to the 3rd Security Force Assistance Brigade.
Not a fit: Patients who are not part of the military or those not assigned to the 3rd SFAB may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve the mental resilience and operational readiness of military personnel.
How similar studies have performed: While there has been limited rigorous research on resiliency-enhancement programs in military settings, this approach is based on established evidence for psychological flexibility training.
