What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the LifelongU intervention designed to enhance physical activity habits, automatic affective evaluations, and overall physical activity levels among university students. Participants will engage in 12 weekly sessions that include health-related fitness education, fitness testing, and motor skill training, utilizing various behavior change techniques. The study will compare the intervention group with a control group to assess differences in physical activity and related outcomes before and after the intervention.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are university students aged 18-25 who are currently not meeting recommended physical activity guidelines.
Not a fit: Students who are athletes or have health conditions that prevent safe participation in physical activity will not benefit from this study.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion Criteria: * aged 18-25 years * failure meeting the recommended physical activity guidelines (\< 150 minutes MVPA or \< 70 minutes VIPA in total a week) at the time of recruitment, screened via the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire Exclusion Criteria: * student athletes * the presence of health conditions that prevented safe engagement in physical activity, screened via the PAR-Q+.
