What this trial studies
This evaluation focuses on World Vision's REACTS-IN intervention aimed at enhancing nutrition, gender equality, and health services for women, adolescent girls, and children under five in rural areas of Bangladesh, Kenya, and Tanzania. The study employs a quasi-experimental design, collecting baseline, midline, and end-line data from intervention and comparison communities to assess improvements in child growth, dietary practices, women's empowerment, and access to health services. The intervention includes educational programs on nutrition, gender equity, and sexual and reproductive health, alongside health service training and the promotion of bio-fortified crops.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include women aged 15-49 with children under five, their partners, adolescents aged 10-19, and children aged 0-5.9 years living in the target communities.
Not a fit: Patients with children who have growth limitations due to birth defects or illnesses may not benefit from this intervention.
Why it matters
