What this trial studies

This study explores the integration of two communication models, CARE and AIDET, to enhance the service recovery skills of outpatient nurses. Nurses will be randomly assigned to receive training in either the CARE model, the AIDET model, or a combination of both. The training includes theoretical lectures, case discussions, and practical assessments to ensure effective learning. The study aims to evaluate the impact of this combined approach on nurses' communication abilities over a one-month observation period following the training.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are outpatient nurses with over six months of experience who are willing to participate.

Not a fit: Nurses on maternity or sick leave, or those with mental health issues, will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve nurse-patient communication, leading to better patient satisfaction and care outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: While the integration of communication models is a novel approach, similar studies have shown that structured communication training can improve patient care outcomes.
