What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Dialogue Based Early Detection (DBED) method in preventing mental health issues among kindergarten children. It will compare mental health outcomes between children in kindergartens using DBED and those in traditional settings. The study will also assess how well DBED identifies children at risk for mental health problems and its impact on initiating early interventions. Additionally, the acceptance and sustainability of DBED in regular kindergarten environments will be examined.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children attending kindergarten during the specified timeframe.
Not a fit: Children whose parents do not communicate in Norwegian or English may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to improved mental health outcomes for young children and better early detection of mental health issues.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using dialogue-based approaches for early detection of mental health issues, suggesting potential success for this method.
