What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to enhance the connection between Latinx individuals and mental health services through a series of six educational sessions led by Promotores de Salud. The intervention focuses on improving mental health literacy, reducing stigma, and increasing coping skills and help-seeking behaviors before a crisis occurs. Participants will engage in discussions and activities designed to empower them with knowledge and resources related to mental health. The study is designed to address the unique challenges faced by the Latinx community in accessing mental health services.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are Hispanic, Latino/a, or Latinx individuals who reside in specific zip codes and speak either English or Spanish.

Not a fit: Patients who do not identify as Hispanic, Latino/a, or Latinx, or those living outside the specified zip codes may not benefit from this study.

Inclusion criteria:

* Has heritage or self-identifies as Hispanic and/or Latino/a
* Must speak English or Spanish
* Primary residence is in 95116, 95122, 95127, 95112, 95111, 95121,95148, or 95133 zip codes

Exclusion criteria:

* Persons from the same household
* First degree family member
