What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of phone call and video-based interventions designed to educate and remind patients with uncontrolled hypertension to adhere to their prescribed medications. Participants will receive these interventions three times a week for three months, after which their medication adherence and blood pressure levels will be assessed. The study also seeks to analyze the cost-effectiveness of these mobile health interventions and understand factors influencing their acceptance among patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 years or older with uncontrolled hypertension who have been prescribed antihypertensive medications.
Not a fit: Patients who are pregnant, have diabetes, liver failure, kidney disease, or severe psychiatric conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve medication adherence and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing mobile health technologies for medication adherence have shown promising results, indicating that this approach is both relevant and potentially effective.
