What this trial studies

This study aims to enhance the Emergency Department Lung Cancer Screening (ED-LCS) intervention by conducting qualitative interviews with key stakeholders to refine the approach. It will pilot test the intervention to evaluate its efficacy, acceptability, and feasibility among eligible patients. Additionally, the study will gather in-depth descriptions of stakeholders' experiences to inform future improvements to the screening process.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 50-80 who have a history of smoking and meet specific criteria for lung cancer screening.

Not a fit: Patients who do not speak English or Spanish, have severe psychiatric conditions, or are currently enrolled in hospice care may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters
