What this trial studies

This study tests the Organizational Partnerships for Healthy Living (OPAHL) intervention, which aims to enhance the care continuum for people living with HIV (PLWH) by integrating legal services into healthcare settings. The intervention includes comprehensive training for medical-legal partnership staff, case management training, and the co-location of legal services within healthcare organizations. The goal is to address health-harming legal needs that affect access to care and improve health outcomes for PLWH. The study will assess the feasibility and acceptability of this innovative approach in real-world settings.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18 and older who are living with HIV and have a viral load of more than 200 copies/mL.

Not a fit: Patients who are currently incarcerated or have a pending sentence to serve within six months may not benefit from this study.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

* Living with HIV (as confirmed by medical record)
* 18 years or older
* HIV viral load of more than 200 copies/mL (as confirmed by medical record)
* Willing and able to consent to participate in the trial (including accessing their medical records at the health care organization)
* No intent to relocate within the 6 months following their enrollment in the study

Exclusion Criteria:

-Individuals who self-report having been sentenced to serve under state or federal custody, with a sentence to begin within 6 months from proposed enrollment in the study
