What this trial studies

The Family Champions Project aims to enhance services for low-income fathers and mothers through a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process. This evaluation employs a formative approach to assess the effectiveness of educational curricula designed to strengthen family relationships and promote economic stability. Participants, who must be at least 18 years old and have a child no older than 24 years, will engage in leadership and communication training tailored for families affected by parental incarceration. The study will track various performance indicators to evaluate the impact of these educational services over time.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this project are low-income parents aged 18 and older with children under 24 years who do not have open criminal cases.

Not a fit: Patients who are minors, not parents, or have open criminal cases may not benefit from this project.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this project could lead to improved family dynamics and economic stability for participating low-income parents.

How similar studies have performed: While the CQI approach is relatively novel in the context of Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education, similar initiatives have shown promise in improving program implementation and participant outcomes.
