What this trial studies
This study focuses on enhancing access to family-centered telehealth services for children with disabilities and their families. It addresses the barriers to timely rehabilitation services, particularly exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, by implementing a Training Intervention and Program of Support (TIPS) for therapists. The goal is to foster the adoption of telehealth interventions that prioritize family involvement and satisfaction in pediatric rehabilitation. By integrating telehealth into Family Centred Services, the study aims to improve children's developmental outcomes and reduce stress for families.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include children aged 0-12 years with disabilities and their parents or caregivers who have received rehabilitation services in the past three months.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have access to telehealth services or prefer in-person rehabilitation may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance access to rehabilitation services for children with disabilities and improve family satisfaction.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown that telehealth can effectively improve access and outcomes in pediatric rehabilitation, indicating a promising approach.
