What this trial studies

This study examines the effectiveness of a psychoeducational program called Healthy Eating in Young Adults (HEYA) aimed at improving dietary habits and body composition in young adults aged 21 to 35 in Singapore. Participants will engage in interventions designed to promote healthier eating patterns and facilitate weight loss. The program will assess changes in body weight and fat mass as primary outcomes. The study seeks to provide insights into how educational approaches can influence lifestyle changes in this demographic.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are young adults aged 21 to 35 with a body mass index (BMI) of 23 kg/m² or higher who can read and understand English.

Not a fit: Patients who are pregnant, participating in other weight loss programs, or planning to undergo pharmacotherapy or bariatric surgery within the next six months may not benefit from this study.
