What this trial studies
This study examines the impact of High-Fidelity Patient Simulation (HFPS) on the clinical reasoning skills and interprofessional competencies of nursing and physical therapy students. Participants will be divided into two groups: one receiving two simulations and the other receiving none. The study aims to assess improvements in clinical reasoning during simulated clinical situations and self-reported changes in teamwork and communication skills. The findings could enhance educational practices in interprofessional collaboration among healthcare students.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are students currently enrolled in nursing or physical therapy programs.
Not a fit: Patients who are not enrolled in nursing or physical therapy programs will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly improve the clinical reasoning and teamwork skills of future healthcare professionals.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with similar simulation-based educational approaches, indicating potential for success.
