What this trial studies
This pilot feasibility study aims to enhance cardiovascular care for men undergoing androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for prostate cancer. Participants will use a web-based application designed to educate them about their individual cardiovascular risks and provide tailored risk mitigation strategies. The study will evaluate the feasibility of this tool and its impact on improving access to cardiovascular care and risk management for these patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are men over 18 years old with prostate cancer who are currently receiving or will receive at least six months of ADT.
Not a fit: Patients who are not receiving ADT or those who cannot read and understand English may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to better cardiovascular health outcomes for men with prostate cancer receiving ADT.
How similar studies have performed: While this approach is innovative, similar studies focusing on patient education and risk assessment in cancer care have shown promise.
