What this trial studies
This observational study aims to assess the clinical and psychological consequences of sexual violence among women in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It will compare pelvic floor dysfunction and psychological health between women who have experienced conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) and those who have not. The research involves collaboration between institutions in DRC, Belgium, and Switzerland, and will utilize a mixed-methods approach with a sample size of 371 women. The study also seeks to evaluate current care modalities and the needs of these women in terms of access to healthcare and community integration.

Inclusion Criteria:- Women victims of CRSV and women without a history of CRSV living in the places of enrolment in RDC, aged over 18 years and giving their consent to participate to this study. - Exclusion Criteria:- Pregnant women and women under 18 years old. -
